ENVIRONMENT
Welcome to the valley of the Cèze !
Our 2 holiday homes are the ideal base for discovering different regions, because both holiday homes are located at the crossroads of theArdeche, theCévennes, theProvenceand theValley of the Rhone.
GARD
The department of Gard is, both in terms of nature and lifestyle, typically Mediterranean. This region has almost 300 'sun' days a year! This southern paradise abounds in beautiful, enchanting landscapes and offers a wide range of attractions with extraordinary historical and cultural heritage. Look no further, you are in the South of France!
FRANCE'S MOST BEAUTIFUL
Since 2008, La Roque sur Cèze has acquired the predicate 'One of France's most beautiful villages'. Partly thanks to the imposing waterfalls, the Cascades du Sautadet and its medieval, narrow access bridge, the Pont Charles Martel.
SPORTY
The variety of landscapes around our 2 holiday homes are attractive for hikers, swimmers, fishermen, sun worshipers, mountain bikers and cyclists, among others. In a canoe or kayak you can sail down the Cèze or Ardèche along pebble beaches and beautiful rock walls. There are more than 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails that cross the territory. Walk through vineyards, lavender fields, along rivers and through forests. Most roads are also accessible to horse riders.
CULTURE
The beautiful cities of Avignon, Nîmes, Uzès, and Orange bear witness to a cultural and religious life. These destinations can be reached within an hour from both holiday homes. On the many weekly market days, both local and tourist products are sold: olive oil, goat cheese, lavender oil, herbs, jams. The brocantes, the potters' market and the medieval festivals are also events not to be missed!
